A five-run explosion in the fourth inning lifted The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad to an 8-2 win over East Union on Wednesday. The Saints scored in the fourth on a walk by Megan Roush, an RBI single by Sydney Suntken, a two-run single by Emilie Krpan, and an error. Roush reached base three times in the game for Melcher-Dallas, she scored two runs and had one RBI. Krpan got it done in the circle allowing two runs over seven innings, striking out eight, walking two and giving up seven hits. The baseball squad had a nightmare of a game against Southeast Warren last night falling 19-0. Both Melcher-Dallas squads return to action tonight at Moulton-Udell.
