Two nights after upsetting the Pella High baseball team, Pella Christian fell in a close contest with Norwalk, 5 – 2 on Friday. The Eagles had several opportunities, with multiple runners in scoring position in the first six innings they were unable to come up with the clutch hit to drive in runs. The Warriors put up three tallies in the first three frames, then added a pair more in the fifth. Pella Christian’s runs came in the seventh from an RBI single off the bat of Scott Haveman and a balk called on Norwalk’s pitching staff. The Eagles drop to 15 – 10 this year, and they have the weekend off before playing Ballard at home this Tuesday.
