The Pleasantville Softball team has found the winning formula winning their sixth and seventh games in a row on Saturday against North Mahaska 5-3 and Twin Cedars 8-1.

In game one, the Trojans would trail 3-2 going into the top of the seventh inning before the hot hitting Corinne Thomas would hit a three run home run to put Pleasantville ahead for good. Thomas went 3-4 in the game, and starting in the circle and getting the win was Bailey Oliva who gave up three runs on just five hits. Game two was a much less stressful affair as the Trojans demolished Twins Cedars. Andie Sowers had a two run HR in the thirds, and Avari Heinz-Pence was 3-3 with two doubles. Abby DeJoode gave up one run on three hits to get the “W”. The Trojans are now 9-7 and on a seven game winning streak, and will next play a big Pride of Iowa Conference game with Martensdale-St. Mary’s on Tuesday.
