Coming into his senior year as a member of the Central men’s golf team, Walker Adams had only played 6.5 total rounds of varsity golf at the collegiate level. Fast forward to the Iowa Conference tournament in late April, Adams was given the opportunity to shine by Coach Chad Green. Adams did not disappoint on Day One, shooting a season-low 73 to go into the second round tied for first individually. Adams went on to shoot +14 over the course of four days to conclude his career tied for fourth on the leaderboard, and was the lone Dutch to earn Iowa Conference honors. Coach Green says his work ethic over the four years he was at Central helped push him into the spotlight. Adams graduates with two other seniors for Central, who will be under new leadership come the fall, after Coach Green resigned to take another position at a different institution.
