Local middle school students learned the ins and outs of theatre by making their own production of Tom Sawyer.

The Union Street Players held a pair of performances over the weekend featuring actors and crew members from grades 5 through 8, with guidance from experienced adult teachers. Over the course of a few weeks, the students worked on lines, rehearsed, and also learned the technical side of theatre.
