Baseball is a funny game. There’s no clock, so a comeback of any amount is possible. A fastball an inch away in either direction could be the difference between a strikeout, a walk, a home run, or any number of different outcomes. This is what makes the majesty of postseason baseball so magnificent. Any of those different outcomes in a certain combination could mean a winless team beating an undefeated team. Getting to Principal Park is no small achievement for Iowa high school baseball squads, and because of the unpredictability of the sport, you never know when your opportunity to get there will come. This is why Coach Jesse Jablonski, though fortunate and happy his team is going back for the second straight season, says they will be focusing on taking in the experience while getting ready for Tuesday. Pella High will play Humboldt in their quarterfinal game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., and you can hear the call on 92.1 KRLS, KNIAKRLS.com, an on our free KRLS mobile app.
