Central men’s golf multi-record holder, Desmond Stoll, will be golfing in this week’s Porter Cup in Lewiston, New York. The Porter Cup is an elite medal-play, 72-hole amateur tourney that is held at the Niagara Falls Country Club and first played in 1959. Round one concluded yesterday, and the former Dutch is currently tied for 76th after shooting a score of 78, which is 8-over par. The current leader is Gavin Hall from Pittsford, New York, who turned in a 5-under round of 65. The tournament has hosted some pretty big names in the golfing world, and has featured former champions such as Phil Mickelson, David Duval, and Ben Crenshaw. Round two for Stoll starts this morning at 8:10 a.m.
