With the second-most in the Iowa Conference, four Central men’s tennis student-athletes made their way onto the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s All-Academic Team for 2016. Alex Anderson, Colin Jones, Tom Palmer, and Josh Phillips were the four Dutch players that were honored. To earn the “ITA Scholar-Athlete” status, a player must be a varsity letter winner and have at least a 3.50 GPA. League champion Coe had the most selections with a total of seven. Sophomores Jones and Phillips will be back as juniors next season and Palmer will be a senior returner for Coach Ryun Ferrell’s Dutch, who will start practice for their non-traditional fall competition in about a month.
