While the PCM Mustangs Boys Baseball Team does lose several key players due to graduation, any coach of high school baseball will tell you it’s just a part of the game and you just have to move on and reload.
The junior class this season for the Mustangs established themselves as ready to take over the mantle of senior leaders for next year’s squad by putting up some impressive offensive numbers. The class is highlighted by team leader in average Braden Phifer who batted .337 at the dish to go along with eight doubles. Junior All-Conference catcher Ryan Hill batted .283 and had several clutch walk-off hits for PCM, and third baseman Noah Clark swiped 13 stolen bases. While the pitching will most likely be spearheaded by now sophomore Noah Henkenius, it will be up to the blossoming incoming senior class to take the reins of the offense to more success for next season.
