An inspection of the Laboratory at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) program took place recently and found no deficiencies for the third inspection in a row.
The Laboratory passes CLIA inspections on a regular basis to prove proficiency, quality and competency of the staff, equipment, and internal processes. Chief Executive Officer Kevin Kincaid says the passage is a testament to the hard work of teams in the lab, and that passing three inspections in a row with no deficiencies noted is rare. Kincaid adds the laboratory works to provide timely and accurate results; giving staff the best possible chance of defining a path to wellness.
