The Knoxville Baseball Squad starts its postseason journey this evening as the Panthers will travel to Pella and battle Chariton in the first round of class 3A district. Both Panthers and Chargers have played three times already this season with Knoxville winning two of those games. Both teams seem evenly matched and are both one game over 500 with Chariton standing at 16-and-15 while Knoxville is 18-and-17. One area that Knoxville Coach Joel Johnson tells KNIA/KRLS he has been very pleased with this season is his outfielders. Justin Little in left…Trent Davis in center…and Jacob Zuck in right now have a reputation of tracking down fly balls and sometimes making the great plays look routine. Johnson says he is not the only one that has been impressed by the Panthers outfield. Today’s game can be heard on AM 1320 and 95-point-three KNIA and KNIA KRLS dot com with Derek Cardwell and Marcus Johnson starting with the pregame at four-45.
