Area law enforcement will be increasing patrols this weekend ahead of the 4th of July Holiday.
Lt. Paul Haase with the Pella Police Department says police agencies statewide are encouraging all drivers to travel the posted speed limit, avoid the use of mobile devices, and only operate vehicles while sober. He says all occupants in any moving automobile should always wear seat belts to keep themselves safe in the event of an accident.
