The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad begins the tournament trail in the opening round of the class 1A district tonight. The Saints will travel to Iowa Christian, a team they have defeated once this season. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the team has received great support from the Melcher-Dallas community considering where the program was just two years ago. Tonight’s game starts at seven at Iowa Christian. A win by the Saints would put them in a match up with Martensdale St. Mary’s in next week’s second round.
