Nonprofit organizations were celebrated during a rain-delayed Thursdays in Pella yesterday.
Dozens of local charities, political groups, churches, and other non-profits took part in a special carnival around the square. Pete Verhey is the founder of Personal Energy Transportation (PET) Iowa, and tells KNIA/KRLS he was hoping to showcase his efforts to help those with lower body paralysis. He says the technology developed in Leighton can help thousands who suffer from mobility issues around the globe. Click here for more details.
The evening concluded with a special outdoor movie. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio is broadcasting live from every Thursdays in Pella event this summer.
