Strength training, just like all other sports, applies to baseball as well.
Knoxville Coach Joel Johnson tells KNIA/KRLS his eye test if you look at his team, you would not think they had very many seniors this season. You would be right, as the Panthers had just three seniors, two of them everyday starters. Johnson says as he looked at teams playing in the class 3A State Tournament this week he could see what his team needs to do this offseason. Johnson says seniors are also important for leadership. He was very proud of Calyn Bumgardner, D.J. Snyder, and Tanner Sharp for their contributions to the team and the way they handled themselves on and off the field. Provided everyone goes out next summer, the Panthers will have a group of eight seniors on next season’s squad.
