After playing the Roland-Story Norse tough the first two times PCM Baseball had matched up with them, the Mustangs knew it would take their best effort to beat the #9 ranked team in class 2A.
Ultimately, the Norse took advantage of the Mustangs errors without mercy to finish the PCM Baseball season with a 7-2 defeat. PCM jumped out to an early 2-0 lead off of an RBI single by Clay Cooper and a home run by Ryan Hill, but that would be all the Mustangs offense could muster. The Roland Story offense exploded in the fourth combined with three Mustangs errors to take a 5-2 lead.
The Norse would tack on two insurance runs in the fifth which lead to starting pitcher for the Mustangs Austin Brown exiting the game. Brown took the loss on the mound to bring his record to 6-3, and the Mustangs end their season with a 12-18 record. The Mustangs say goodbye to four seniors on this year’s squad.
