Getting out to an early lead, the PCM Mustang Baseball Team would put away West Marshall last night 10-3 despite getting just five hits on the night.
PCM struck for seven runs in the second inning on highlighted by a pair of RBI’s from Clay Cooper on a double, just two of his four for the game. The Mustangs got six strong innings of work from senior hurler Austin Brown who gave up just two hits striking out six to bring his record to 6-2. The Mustangs will now travel to Story City to play Heart of Iowa Conference rival Roland-Story on Tuesday. Despite failing to pick up a win against the Norse in their previous two attempts, PCM Head Coach Shawn Hudnut tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team is confident going in because of how tough they played them this season.
