One area that does not lack depth for the PCM Mustang Softball Team is going to be pitching for next season.
The Mustangs will bring back all of their innings pitched for next season, with the majority coming from Kayla Jennings supplemented by Chelbie Gillespie. Jennings pitched 143 innings with a 3.13 ERA and 110 K’s to lead nearly every pitching category for the Mustangs, but Gillespie was also effective in her appearances later on in the season as well. Gillespie pitched 34 1/3 innings and had opponents hitting only .208 against her. The Mustangs will bring back their entire defense as well, so expect the pitching to be an even bigger success for the Mustangs in 2017.
