The PCM Softball team did not lack leadership during this season despite having no seniors on the team, and that was due to the large amount of juniors that have been a large part of the PCM Lady Mustang success in all sports this season, not just for softball.
The Mustangs started eight juniors and a freshman, so the team still has another year to grow together and mature to bring the Mustangs even more success next year. The class is highlighted by Jayci Vos who hit .341 and hit four home runs from the leadoff spot, and all-around player Kayla Jennings who hit .302 at the dish and pitched the majority of innings for the Mustangs with a 3.13 ERA and striking out 110. The Mustangs ended the season with an 11-18 record, and a full recap of the Mustangs season can be heard on the Knoxville Hyvee Radio Coaches Corner in the coming weeks.
