The Simpson Storm Baseball Team will be under new leadership for the upcoming 2017 season, Nathan Roling has been announced as the team’s next Head Coach.
Roling takes over a program that went 14-29 this past season and finished in sixth place in the Iowa Conference, and will have some work to do before bringing the Storm back to its conference title winnings ways after losing a senior class of 12 members this past season. Roling has previous coaching experience in the Iowa Conference having been an assistant coach at Coe from 2011-13, then at Loras as a top assistant and recruiting coordinator from 2014-16. Roling earned his master’s degree in business and technology management from Stevenson in 2010. Roling is the 26th baseball coach in the school’s history, and he takes over for Ben Blake who resigned after 10 seasons at the helm of Storm Baseball.
