A group of T-Bucket enthusiasts visited the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum on Thursday.
Members of the National T-Bucket Alliance took a guided tour of the museum. A T-Bucket is the body of a Ford Model T modified for a larger engine and usually a colorful paint job. Rolla Hessel, President of the association says the group is in Pella this week for a meet-up. Hessel’s T-Bucket sports a 650 Horsepower engine and can accelerate from 0 to 100 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds. He says the club visited the Hall of Fame and Museum because they love anything fast and loud. The group will return to Knoxville on Saturday night for the race and Hessel encourages individuals interested in the vehicles to come out, take pictures and talk to the owners.
