Motorcycles and other vehicles will ride in remembrance of Clayton Harsin early next month.
Michelle Harsin, Clayton’s mother, says the Wheels and Wings Ride will commemorate Clayton’s life and love of motorcycles. Clayton Harsin was killed by a drunk driver in August of 2014 while riding his motorcycle. The cost to ride is $15 per vehicle and all proceeds will be donated to the Knoxville Township Rural and Knoxville Fire Departments. The route will go from Knoxville to Newton to Grinnell to Oskaloosa and back to Knoxville. In honor of Clayton the event will be alcohol free. The ride will be held August 6, starting at Advance Transmission on the north edge of Knoxville, just a few days after the 2nd anniversary of Clayton’s death. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m, and the ride will begin at 10:00 a.m.
