She took over in the 2014 season, and since then, they’ve had a record of 59 – 37 and have made it to two regional finals, losing by just one run in each. Coach Karen Harrill, in just a short amount of time, has taken Pella Christian’s softball program to new heights. The 2017 season may just be that breakthrough year that fans, coaches, and players have been waiting for, but for the time being, and in the overall scheme of things, Coach Harrill says that’s not what her primary goal is as head coach. Harrill adds that the girls on this year’s team have all been extremely coachable and that it’s hard not to coach the way she does because of how much she cares about each and every one of them. The Eagles’ finished with a 21 – 8 record this season.
