Whenever a team pitches a shutout, the defense is usually credited with keeping the opponent out of the end zone. That was the case last Friday as Knoxville blanked Chariton 34-0 in week one of the high school football season. Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they had to make some adjustments when Chariton figured out how to get to the boundaries. Overall Kellar says he was happy with the defense. The Panthers will have to prepare for a much better throwing quarterback in Fairfield’s Cameron Baumann who can run and throw well.
