While the Twin Cedars Football Squad lost 14 players last season’s 5-5 playoff edition…the Sabers also have several guys back with experience. Trace Embray returns but likely at a different position of running back and receiver. Embray is no stranger to running the back racking up 479 yards and eight touchdowns in 2015 plus he caught five balls for 54 yards. In his place at signal caller will be Nick Haselhuhn, who completed just under 50% of his passes for 361 and six touchdowns. Coach Aaron Allspcach says Dakota Pinegar is coming off a 1,000 yard season on the ground and was the second leading receiver with 338 yards five scores. The Sabers get their season underway on Friday with a road game against WACO.
