Just days after contending for the Knoxville Nationals and running as high as third before a mechanical problem sidelined the car in Saturday’s A-Main Keneric Racing has announced they have ceased operations of their American racing shop which was located in Knoxville. Kerry Madsen had driven for Keneric Racing and is now without a sprint car ride. No reason was given for the shutdown of the race shop. Since driving for the team in 2010 Madsen had enjoyed much success including winning the 2014 Kings Royal at Eldora and Ironman 55 in Missouri in the same season. Madsen had also three National Sprint League Races this season.
