The Knoxville Football Squad gets the season underway tonight against a familiar opponent. Chariton…who is playing as a 2A school this season will help the Panthers open up 78th season at Ken Locke Stadium. The Panthers had a good running game last season, but struggled at times with consistency at the quarterback spot. Now Jacob Zuck returns for his junior season and Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Zuck has made huge improvement in his all-around game. Chariton will be a much different team than the 5-5 campaign last season. The Chargers graduated their all-everything player T.J. Hockensen and are searching for a more balanced offensive attack. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com with Derek Cardwell and Kevin Wadle at seven.
