The PCM Cross Country team heads into their second week of practice this week with less than two weeks till the start of school and the start of the season.
Coach Eric Karr’s squad will hit the road August 25th in Ames at the Iowa State University Cross Country Course. Week one of practice in any season is always a tough one but when you add in Coach Karr’s favorite hill, Ralph Hill into the equation Coach Karr hopes that equation will equal out to success in the 2016 season. With returning runners from last year and new faces that hope to add depth to the squad this year, the 2016 Mustangs are hoping for good results as well as great crowds from their parents and fans. Besides road meets this year the first and only chance to see the Mustangs run at home will come September 22nd at the Gateway Golf Course in Monroe. Coach Karr’s squad knows Cross Country isn’t your typical sit down and cheer sport, but that doesn’t stop his squad for hoping for more participation and bigger crowds this fall.
