The honors keep rolling in after another successful season of Pella High baseball this summer. Coach Jesse Jablonski’s group had four athletes named to the Class 3A All-Southeast District Team for 2016. On the first team All-District were Grant Judkins, as a pitcher, and Tyler Hillman, as a utility player. The pitching-shortstop tandem combined to commandeer Pella’s rotation and the top of their batting order, combining for a 0.76 ERA and 183 strikeouts. They were both the top two batters in the Little Dutch line-up, combining to hit .441 on the year with eight homers, nine triples, 29 doubles, and 64 RBI. Lucas Hileman and Jaden Rolffs were chosen for the second team All-District as a pitcher and catcher, respectively. Hileman had a 2.28 ERA on the mound and Rollfs was a .415 batter this year with 36 RBI. Pella High baseball finished their season with a loss in the semifinals at Principal Park to Carlisle.
