An Olympic steeplechase specialist who ran in the 2012 London Summer Games came to Pella High School to motivate the next generation of student-athletes.
Bridget Franek discussed her career with Pella, Pella Christian, and Central College cross country athletes Wednesday evening.
Franek tells KNIA/KRLS News she met Pella Cross Country Coach Doug Cutler this summer during a camp in Oregon, and was invited to stop in Pella on her way back to her native state of Ohio. She encouraged those in attendance to continue the pursuit of their passions.
“I hope they dream big and that they don’t limit themselves for any reason,” she says.
Franek met with runners after practice and spoke to a crowd in the Pella High School auditorium.
