The City of Melcher-Dallas is seeking input as a part of its comprehensive plan development process.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and asks respondents their opinions about what Melcher-Dallas is today and what it could be in the future. Topics covered in the survey include housing, economic development, land use, transportation, and community facilities. You do not need to live in Melcher-Dallas to take the survey, anyone with a vested interested in the community is welcome. Andrew Collings with the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization says completed surveys will be compiled and used to make decisions on what to include in the comprehensive plan. The survey is available online at the city’s website, and paper copies can be picked up at city hall or the library. The survey ends September 16.
