The new offense that the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad unveiled on Friday night was successful to say the least. The Saints used a balanced attack to gain 530 yards against English Valleys and win 42-12. What makes this offense so unique is that not a lot of team run it. The Saints use a variation of the Single Wing Offense…that was popular in the early days of football, and most recently used by Sigourney-Keota. Saints Coach Mike Hortsman tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the one difference between his offense and other singe wing attacks is there is no spinner back. He adds there are a lot of mis-direction, direct snaps to the running back and the quarterback is in a lot of cases the lead runner. The Saints travel to Murray on Friday.
