The Knoxville Music Boosters raised approximately $4,400 for new band uniforms over the weekend.
At Friday night’s football game, Dan D Farms donated sweet corn for sale, and band students sold 50-50 tickets, raising over $400. On Saturday approximately 40 High School and Middle School band students and boosters gathered at Motor Inn of Knoxville and washed cars. Over 100 cars were washed, and over $4,000 dollars was raised. HyVee provided lunch, the Knoxville Morning Kiwanis provided inflatables for kids to play on, Ramaeker Screen Printing provided banners and signs, and the KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio was on hand to play music and contribute Adventureland and Iowa Cubs tickets for the cause. Rex DeMoss, General Manager at Motor Inn, tells KNIA/KRLS News that he thought it was a great event, was pleased with the turnout, and happy to help. Boosters would like to thank Motor Inn, HyVee, KNIA/KRLS, Ramaeker Screen Printing, the Knoxville Morning Kiwanis, and Dan Dennison with Dan D Farms for their support for the fundraisers. The Boosters hope to raise $60,000 before next season. For more information, or to donate, click here.
