With the new defense that the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad will be running, a few of the players are learning new positions. One player that Coach Mike Hortsman hopes will make an impact is Connor Dawson. Hortsman says what makes him unique is his size and the position he plays. At 6/4 225 and playing middle linebacker is a little unusual for eight-man. But he says Dawson can get to the ball. Also Elijah Williams at 6/2 225 is another to watch. Hortsman says he is very versatile and can play two or three different positions. The Saints get their season underway this Friday at home against English Valleys.
