Making up production from graduating seniors is something all coaches have to go through at the high school level, and what PCM Baseball will have to replace from its departing athletes will not be easy to replicate.
Austin Brown did it both at the plate and on the pitching mound, batting .322 with seven doubles and having a 6-3 record on the mound. Clay Cooper batted .292 and only struck out six times all season while having a fielding percentage of .980. Tyler foster batted .279 with four doubles, and Gunnar Davis batted an even .250 and also contributed on the pitching mound. While not a large class of departing seniors, their leadership and contributions to the team statistically will be hard to replace for the Mustangs. PCM went 12-18 in 2016 and their season was ended in the second round of postseason play.
