The PCM Cross Country team got back to practice this week, after coming off an impressive showing in Ames on Thursday.
With the girl’s team finishing 2nd and represented by three medal winners the Mustang Cross Country team showed their strength. For the boys though the 8th place finish wasn’t as high as they would have hoped it’s still shows signs of progress that this team has made with hard work. Out of the top six finishes for the PCM boys three are freshmen. Freshmen Jason Stafford led the Freshmen with a 31st place finish and Freshmen Jacob Cox and Owen Hugen finished 63rd and 77th respectfully out of 166 runners. With the hard work showing signs of progress and the youth in the program showing up strong, this PCM Mustang squad looks to keep improving during its 2016 season and beyond. Next up for the Mustangs is a meet at Central College against the Pella Little Dutch on September 3rd.
