Another area volleyball squad that is in rebuilding mode is Melcher-Dallas. The Saints welcome back Jesyka Nolte as head coach, who was the Saints coach for six seasons until 2013. Nolte has just ten girls on the team this season which has forced her to modify practices and drills. She tells KNIA/KRLS Sports three freshmen will likely get a lot of varsity time due to the lower numbers. Nolte says they have done well in practice and are taking direction. Allyson Funk and Kortney Vanderlinden are the two seniors Nolte will be relying on this year. Funk had 37 kills last season for the Saints. Melcher-Dallas went 6-14 last season.
