The Capitani Classic is hard enough to win with 62 of the best 410 sprint car drivers running in a one night show. Shane Stewart has now proven to be the best on one night two years in a row as he became the first driver in the classic’s short history to win it twice and in back-to-back years. Kerry Madsen took off from his pole starting spot and led the first two laps but after a restart on lap three Stewart got the lead and was never challenged. Stewart told KNIA/KRLS Sports Madsen left the door open for him to take advantage. Madsen took second while Brian Brown completed the podium and Jason Solwold and Brent Marks came in fifth. The Knoxville Raceway takes a couple of days off and lets the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa have the reigns for Southern Iowa Sprint Week with the Front Row Challenge tonight.
