For the Pleasantville football team, 2015 was a pretty good year. A season that saw an 8-1 regular season record, seven straight wins to open the season and a state playoff win, it was just what Head Coach Gabe Bakker wanted from his squad.
With the success from 2015 the Trojan football program looks to keep building for success and it all starts with this 2016 squad. The 2016 Trojans will try to replicate and improve on last season but with a major difference. This year the Trojans move from Class A to Class 1A. So coming off that successful 2015 campaign how does the change in class affect this 2016 Pleasantville team.The move to Class 1A means one thing for sure, tougher competition each and every Friday night for this Trojan team. Coach Bakker and his squad are excited to get their Class 1A 2016 season going and will kick off their season on the road against a familiar foe in Eddyville-Blakesburg Fremont on August 26th.
