The Pleasantville Trojan football team had a pretty successful season a year ago.
The Trojans went 8-1 last fall with seven straight wins to open the 2015 season before eventually falling in the second round of the state playoffs to eventual state champion Gladbrook-Reinbeck. Head Coach Gabe Bakker is hoping for the same success in his 2016 campaign but with so much of his 2015 team lost to graduation Coach Bakker will be looking to the eight returning seniors to guide this 2016 Trojan team to success this fall. Luckily for Coach Bakker the eight returning seniors have already stepped into that leadership role. The Trojans kick things off Aug26th with a road trip to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont a game in which the Trojans won 36-0 at home a year ago.
