The PCM Cross Country team is in their second week of organized practice as they get ready for upcoming fall season.
Coach Eric Karr says “We are just working to get our bodies use to cross country race style hills and speed”. With Ralph Hill in Monroe a constant force to be reckoned with during practice, this fall season is looking fun so far to Coach Karr, “With lots of varsity boys and girls returning and bringing up some talented freshman, the season is looking fun!” says Coach Karr. The first week of practice saw some pretty hot temperatures with heat indexes in the triple digits the Coach Karr made sure his runners were staying hydrated and following the signs of their bodies to help prevent any heat related injuries, “We really stress to them to let us know how their bodies are feeling” said Coach Karr. The PCM Cross Country team gets things going August 25th when they head up to Ames to run at the Iowa State University Cross Country Course.
