The Melcher-Dallas football squad has won three games this year which is two more than what the Saints had all of last season. Along with the new single-wing like offense and new defensive scheme, the Saints are a little bit deeper at some positions than they were last year. Coach Mike Hortsman credits the depth of his linemen as giving his skill players chances to succeed. He says it it kind of like the motto “next man up” if someone does go down…he knows there are players ready to come in. The Saints take on arch-rival Twin Cedars this Friday.
