Central’s soccer teams swept Principia of Illinois Saturday afternoon in Pella.
The women’s five-game shutout streak came to an end, but the winning streak is up to six games after a 5-1 victory. Erin Manion scored her first two goals of the year to lead the Dutch, who are now 6-1-1.
The men won 1-0 as Miguel Pina scored his fifth goal of the season in the 51st minute. The Dutch are 5-2 on the season.
Both clubs will get a long rest before their next match. The men host North Central next Saturday and the women don’t play again until September 27th, when both teams are at Monmouth.
