A man who fled probation in 2013 has been rearrested. According to court records, Kevin Eckhart of Indianapolis, Indiana, who pled to OWI 2nd in Knoxville, was stopped by a State Trooper in O’Brien County on Saturday.
Eckert was charged with possession of marijuana and was turned over to Marion County. He was transferred to the Marion County Jail. In 2013 Eckert said in a Facebook post that he would never return to Iowa, despite it being a requirement of his probation. Eckert is charged with escape or absence from custody, a class D felony.
