Looking to get out of three game rut, the Knoxville Football Squad hopes home cooking and Homecoming bring them better luck this week. The Panthers have lost three games in a row after winning in week one, and are coming off a frustrating defeat to Nevada last week. Tonight Carlisle brings its triple option offense into Ken Locke Stadium. While the Wildcats’ attack is something that is not easy to prepare for, Panthers Coach Eric Kellar does not see it as anything so exotic, it is just simple. Know your assignment, and as he has preached all season long, do your job. Kellar believes his defense can string out the Carlisle attack and hold it up enough to not allow big plays which the triple option depends on for success. On the Panthers’ side of the ball he hopes a simpler attack for the Knoxville offense get the Panthers out of the slump they have been in. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and streamed live at kniakrls.com beginning with the pre-game show at seven.
