With the Red Rock Rivalry now just one day away, Pella football coach Jay McKinstrey has spent the week trying to keep his team focused on the task at hand.
Add in the fact that it’s homecoming week, and McKinstrey says that there are a lot of potential distractions.
“A lot of our football guys get involved in the skits and the jungle volleyball and the powder puff football game. A lot of them are on the court and will be involved in the pep rally on Friday. But we have a special season going again, and while we want them to enjoy homecoming week and the festivities, at the same time, homecoming week is still focused around the football game.”
