The newly No. 1 Ranked Lady Dutch volleyball team looked the part in their 3-0 win (25-14, 25-14, 25-7) over Newton last night.
Pella dominated the Cardinals with their clear height and speed advantage. Head Coach Catie Brand says it was good to see the team keeping it’s rhythm and knocking Newton off-balance throughout the contest.
“Our serving was really aggressive tonight, and that was able to disrupt what Newton was able to do, and when we got free balls across the net we were able to run the plays that we wanted,” she says.
Emily Holterhaus was dominate with 15 kills and Kiara Bradley had 10 of her own. Pella is 18-4, remains undefeated in the conference, and next travels to Newton for a tournament on Saturday.
