The PCM Mustang football team didn’t get off to quite the start the Mustangs wanted to, to start the 2016 season.
The Mustangs fell to Pella Christian 42-20 in a game that saw blown chances and a lot of turnovers. Seven total turnovers spelled disaster for the Mustangs as the Mustangs now will have to go on the road in search of their first win as they travel to Montezuma today. The Braves of Montezuma are coming off a 24-14 win a week ago against BGM Brooklyn. The Braves are a heavy running offense lead by Senior Carson Losure who ran 34 times for 157 yards against BGM Brooklyn so PCM Head Coach Greg Bonnett knows stopping the Braves running game will be the key to getting the Mustangs first win of the season. Luckily for PCM stopping the run was what they did best against Pella Christian, holding the Eagles to only 118 rushing yards on 33 attempts. Coach Bonnett knows where this game will be won.The Mustangs and Braves get things going tonight with the Iowa State Savings Bank Radio Pregame show at 6:30 and kickoff set for 7 pm.
