The PCM Mustang Cross Country finished up their home invitational with another dominating performance from their stand out Senior Chris Ellens who won his second invitational in two weeks.
But for the Mustangs it hasn’t been just Chris Ellens that’s had the dominating performances. The Mustang girls have been consistently placing in the top 5 as a team this season. After a third place finish on September 15th at the Lynville Sully Invitational, the Mustangs took 1st place at their home invitational behind five personal records from; Sophomore Payaton Schutt, Sophomore Kirstin Ives, Senior Jayci Vos, Sophomore Megan Townley, and Junior Baylee Smith. All five girls also placed in the top 15 at their home invitational this past Thursday. With four of the 5 girls still underclassmen, Head Coach Eric Karr’s squad is just beginning to tap into the dominating performances PCM fans could see a lot more of during the rest of the 2016 season and years to come. The next chance the Mustangs have to improve this season and shoot for another dominating performance will be tomorrow as the Mustangs travel to Knoxville to run at the Pine Knolls Country Club.
