After years of coming up short against Albia, the PCM Mustangs would blow out the Blue Demons 52-6 last night in their district opener at home.
The PCM defense was spectacular, giving up only two first downs all game and forcing a plethora of turnovers against the hapless Blue Demons. On the offensive side, sophomore running back Wes Cummings was once again the offensive star, repeating his performance of week two with four touchdowns including a 90 yard reception touchdown to start off the second half. PCM Head Coach Greg Bonnett told KNIA/KRLS after the game, that it was a great moment for the team and himself, after years of futility against the rival Blue Demons. PCM improves to 2-1 on the season, and 1-0 in the district, and will next play Centerville on the road next Friday.
